Real wedding: Coz & Yianni’s Studley Grounds celebration
Categories Uncategorized.03 Sep, 2025
Coz and Yianni tied the knot at the stunning Studley Grounds in Kew on Saturday, 22 March 2025. From the very first enquiry, they were drawn to the concept of having a Celebrant and DJ in one and I was pumped to be part of their big day as both!
The venue & vendor line-up
Studley Grounds is the perfect mix of elegance and relaxed vibes, offering both cocktail and sit-down reception formats in one gorgeous space. It’s hard to believe it’s in the inner city (well, besides the fact that you literally have city views from the ceremony space). Coz and Yianni could not have asked for a better day, either – Melbourne’s weather really put it on for them!
Coz and Yianni’s all star suppliers included:
- Photographer: Liz Barnes Photography
- Acoustic guitarist & singer: Andrew Loadsman
- DJ & Celebrant: Eddy Mac (me!)
- Our signature party lights (shameless plug!).
The ceremony
Coz and Yianni’s ceremony was personal, heartfelt and had a few cheeky laughs, reflecting their fun and laid back personalities.
Their entrance song, Stand By Me by Florence and the Machine, played as the bride, Coz, came down the aisle. They had guitarist / singer Andrew play their signing certificate songs and they came back down the aisle to You’ve Got the Love by Florence and the Machine (at the high point on the 1:26 mark).
Guests also enjoyed a “fast photo minute” immediately after Coz’s entrance, allowing everyone one minute to get their phones out and to capture memories before the ceremony continued unplugged and phones away.

The story of Coz and Yianni from their first Hinge match to marathon first and second dates, navigating a relationship during COVID, and shared milestones like buying their first home together (more on this below) was shared in a way that had everyone laughing and tearing up.
Coz and Yianni achieved something else this day, too – they purchased their very first home! Thankfully, they organised a proxy do the bidding for them. Yianni mentioned it to me just before the ceremony kicked off. I quickly re-wrote the script to include this milestone during the ceremony.
Their personal vows reflected their love, quirks, and qualities that make them a perfect match. By the end of the ceremony, everyone cheered as Mr & Mrs Depis were officially married!
“Not only did they get hitched that day, but the couple also purchased their very first home, too! … Yianni mentioned the news to me just before the ceremony kicked off, so I quickly added this to my script.”
Reception & key moments
As soon as Coz and Yianni entered the reception, they kicked off their first dance straight away. They may have been a little nervous so they wanted to get this moment out of the way sooner rather than later! They chose Electricity by Silk City & Dua Lipa. I played the first minute of the acoustic version, mixing into the original as everyone hit the dance floor.
The music brief from the couple included funk, soul, RnB, house, and 90s – 00s classics. Guests sang along to hits from Al Green, Dua Lipa, Cher, Daft Punk, and Jamiroquai. They also chose some cheeky guilty pleasures like the Veronicas, Miley Cyrus, and One Direction.
It was awesome that everyone (from the young age of 21 all the way through to 75!) joined in on classic bangers like September, Hips Don’t Lie, and Rhythm is a Dancer.
A wedding milestone for me, too!
Coz and Yianni’s celebration was the perfect mix of a heartfelt and cheeky ceremony with a high-energy party that followed. It was also my very first wedding ceremony as an authorised marriage celebrant, so will always be a special one for me too.
